After being involved in the Dutch start-up ecosystem for a few years sander is very interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. After hearing about the many advantages of eating insects he was convinced of it’s potential as food of the future. How is it possible that animals with such a high nutritional content and low impact on the environment are not eaten in the western world?
After eating many different insects in both the Netherlands as in Thailand he himself however was not convinced this would become part of his staple diet. Eating whole insects is far away from what we are comfortable with in the western world. The Motivation for Sander therefor became making products to fit our dietary customs. This can help to change the perception of eating insects. Through his entrepreneurial experience both in the Netherlands as abroad he will focus on the business development.
